Born and raised in Evergreen. Moved to the Homestead in July of 1994. Worked for Buffalo Park Development in the Homestead since 1975. Certified Water Professional with Licenses in Water and Distribution since 1990. Board Member, President and General Manager of HWC since 2014.
Joe Musca - Vice President
Homesteader Drive - Homestead
A native of Buffalo, NY, Joe Musca served 28 years in the US Marine Corps retiring as a Colonel in 2004, with his last assignment as the Director of the Marine Corps Staff at the Pentagon. In 2004 he transitioned to industry in construction management with a national homebuilder, serving as VP Operations, then Division President, where he helped change FL’s building industry in favor of energy savings construction practices as a member of the FL Green Building Coalition. Retiring in 2015, he and his wife Sue relocated to CO to be closer to family. His education and certifications include Bachelor of Business Administration from Niagara University, MBA-Management from Golden Gate University, Masters in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University, Certified FL Green Builder and FL Licensed Building Contractor.
Craig Choun - Treasurer
Settlers - Homestead
Craig is a 6 year resident of the Homestead. He is recently retired from Plante Moran LLP after35 years of practicing tax as a CPA. During his latter years at Plante Moran he served as lead tax partner for their not for profit practice area. He also served many real estate development and home building clients during his career in public accounting. Prior to his career in accounting he was a part owner in a small family owned general construction company.
Mark Hasseman - Secretary
Ridge Crest - Homestead
Has lived in the Homestead for 25 years after purchasing a lot and building his own home. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering, and an MS in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado. Formerly a consulting engineer for Cisco Systems building large communication networks. Now self-employed, enjoys technology related projects, and exploring the Homestead as a runner. Board Member and Secretary of HWC since 2015.
Gary Burch
Homesteader Drive – Homestead
A seasoned professional with a broad background in management of major domestic program and foreign projects. Over twenty-five years with the US Department of Energy in challenging management and technical positions, plus over twenty years’ experience in the electric utility industry, Areas of expertise include all aspects of project management, national and international government liaison, and written and oral communications.

Granite Crag Circle - Cragmont
As a 4 ½ year homeowner in the Village at Cragmont, I have always had a strong interest in the inner workings and ultimately the successful operations of the Village at Cragmont and Homestead water supply systems. Two areas of importance:
- Day to day operations to have an efficient, clean and consistent supply of water. - Focus and planning for the future years (and decades) to support improving property values.
My background since the late 1990’s has been working in Industrial Sales managing distribution and OEM and MRO end users. I have a strong mechanical aptitude and business sense, having managed multi-million dollar sales territories as well as being an Industrial Sales Training Manager for a Fortune 100 company. I have attended each of the last two annual Water Co. meetings as well as every Village at Cragmont HOA meeting.

Elk Path Way - Homestead
Director of the Environmental Training Center (ETC) for 19 years at a small college in upstate NY, ETC ran courses for Water and Wastewater operators so they could get their State licenses. Worked closely with New York State Dept. of Health.
Lance Hanchey
Sourdough Dr – Homestead
Moved to the Homestead in June of 2018. He spent 35 years in the IT industry primarily in roles related to data center construction and operation, Web Hosting services and business continuity. He is actively involved with the HEAT organization (Homestead Emergency Action Team) that focuses on community wildfire preparedness.
